Crazy, the amount of comfort food recipes that have caught my attention in the last week! This one was inspired by a delicious milkshake that I recently enjoyed at a small coffee shop, with my sweet little sister. Ferrero Rocher chocolates are one of our many favorites when it comes to…chocolate. 🙂 Delish, delish, delish! The toasted hazelnuts on the outside, the light crispy wafer on the the inside…the Nutella in the center!!!
Let me tell you about my day today. I woke up at 7:45am, almost missing breakfast as I rushed out the door. I spent a whole morning/afternoon…shopping!! Does this sound exciting to you? Well, it was exciting for me! Yes, grocery shopping is exciting!
The jumping-out-of-bed had been the hardest part of the day so far. Jumping out of bed (for me) = everything looks really blurry, my dog is licking my ears, my hair looks like Mt. Everest (in a blizzard – so, a windy large clump), and I really. can. not. feel my neck (this is the result of me deciding to color in my wonderful adult coloring book at 1:00am instead of getting a good nights sleep – neck position not the greatest while coloring in bed). Yep, that’s me in the morning. Coloring sometimes takes priority – why??? It’s fun. :p
I found out today, that me, shopping alone, can be a disaster. I see chocolate sometimes…”How did I get to the candy isle?” Oh, well, I guess I’ll just go right on through…” and, well, chocolate is kind of really good! I saw Ferrero Rocher chocolate today…somehow they got into my cart. Me thinks I know how they got there. 🙂
Okay, so it was a really good day today! Rolling out of bed, shopping, shopping, shopping, and delish milkshakes. Oh, and puppy gave me a really warm welcome when I got home. He got two new toys today – an elephant stuffy and a cool blue toy that’s really hard to explain. 🙂
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 3 Ferrero Rocher chocolates
- Blend the ice cream and milk together until well combined. Roughly 15 seconds.
- Unwrap the Ferrero Rocher chocolates, and blend into the milkshake until the chocolate pieces are small enough to fit through a straw. Roughly 15 seconds.
- Pour into two glasses, or one large cup - I do this often.
